Seniors/Graduation

We are proud to celebrate the achievements and graduation of the Class of 2026! These last weeks of school for seniors will be filled with much anticipation of their final days of secondary education. Download Senior Event and Graduation Photos. An email will be sent to all seniors that includes a PowerPoint presentation explaining the graduation procedures.

Seniors will take their finals on May 13 and May 14. The last day for seniors who complete all requirements is Friday, May 15. All seniors are expected to be in school for their final classes. All seniors need to fill out the Senior Assembly Form and return it to the Main Office by May 8

All students enrolled in the second semester are to complete the senior survey by May 15. Mid-term graduates do not need to retake the survey.

On Friday, May 15, the Class of 2026 seniors will have the option to participate in elementary school walks from 7:50-8:30AM. This special visit offers a chance to reconnect with teachers, walk familiar halls and celebrate how far they’ve come since their early school days! *Students are responsible for their own transportation.

Also on Friday, May 15, there will be a senior assembly at 9AM in the auditorium, followed by a mandatory meeting and practice for all graduates. Students must attend to walk at graduation. If a student is unable to attend, they must contact Mrs. Cheryl Parks by email at cparks@usd260.com. The tradition of ringing the graduation bell will follow practice.

Commencement exercises will be held at the Wichita State University's Charles Koch Arena on Sunday, May 17, at 6:30PM. The doors to the Arena open at 5PM. WSU requires all attending events inside the arena to pass through their security search procedures and protocols, including metal detection. (Please see Safety/Security attachment.) This will slow or delay entry into the arena, so please plan accordingly. No tickets are required. For those who cannot attend, a livestream will be available to watch.

Specific guidelines have been established to ensure a graduation ceremony with dignity and decorum. Appropriate behavior before and during the ceremony is expected. Also enclosed is an explanation regarding the wearing of the cap and gown and other important information. After they walk across the stage, each graduate will have a professional picture taken by Strawbridge photographers. Information on how to purchase these will be shared closer to graduation. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Class of 2026 will process out of Charles Koch Arena and exit the building as a group. Families and guests are encouraged to meet graduates outside on the west side of Koch Arena to celebrate and take photos.
