For more than a century, Derby High School has provided students with opportunities to learn, grow and prepare for their future. Rooted in a tradition of excellence, DHS is committed to helping every student discover their strengths, pursue their passions and achieve their goals.

At DHS, students can choose from a wide range of academic, career and technical education (CTE), Advanced Placement, concurrent credit and dual-credit opportunities. Through partnerships with local businesses, community organizations and post-secondary institutions, students gain real-world experiences that prepare them for college, military service, technical training and careers.

Learning at Derby High School extends beyond the classroom. Students can participate in more than fifty extracurricular activities, including performing arts, athletics, leadership organizations, academic competitions, service groups and an AFJROTC program. These experiences help students develop leadership, teamwork and lifelong connections.

Our dedicated staff works to create a supportive environment where students feel connected, challenged and prepared for success. Through counseling services, academic supports, work-based learning opportunities and individualized planning, we strive to ensure every student has the tools needed to thrive.
