Welcome to the Panther Family! Derby High School has supported a strong tradition in education for over 100 years. DHS students have the opportunity to learn and become a part of a rich history, which starts the moment they walk by the "bell" and step through the door. This environment is then cultivated on the strength of an amazing student body, staff and surrounding community. Students can immerse themselves in rigorous academic schedules, participate in championship level athletic programs, and be a part of one or more of over fifty extracurricular activities and/ or organizations. All the while, students benefit from “real world” experiences that enrich their high school career and prepare them for postsecondary success.

Kansas School Safety Hotline Flyer

The Kansas School Safety Hotline (1-877-626-8203) is available for students, parents and community members to anonymously report any impending school violence.

-Thursday, 2/7 from 4:30-8:00pm, with an 8th grade meeting in the auditorium at 6:00pm
-Monday, 2/11 from 4:30-8:00pm 
-Thursday, 2/14 from 7:30am-11:30am & 12:30pm-3:30pm
Military and college representatives will also be present. We look forward to seeing you there!

Looking for a job? Earn an essential work skills certification in one day! The Workforce Alliance Youth Employment Project is holding an Essential Skills Workshop at the Derby Welcome Center Friday, February 15th. Upcoming Boundary Changes Community Input Forums
Derby Public Schools is revisiting new boundaries to be implemented for the 2020-2021 school year and is hosting two community forums in January to gain input. CLICK HERE to find out more about how you can participate. 


Free tutoring available every Monday and Thursday in the DHS Library from 3:15-6:15pm. Students must bring their I.D.
