Welcome to the Panther Family! Derby High School has supported a strong tradition in education for over 100 years. DHS students have the opportunity to learn and become a part of a rich history, which starts the moment they walk by the "bell" and step through the door. This environment is then cultivated on the strength of an amazing student body, staff and surrounding community. Students can immerse themselves in rigorous academic schedules, participate in championship level athletic programs, and be a part of one or more of over fifty extracurricular activities and/ or organizations. All the while, students benefit from “real world” experiences that enrich their high school career and prepare them for postsecondary success.

School will be dismissed at 12:54 Tuesday and Wednesday, December 18th and 19th. On Thursday, December 20th, school will be dismissed at 10:54 (lunch will not be served). CLICK HERE to view the schedule for Fall finals.

December 21st-January 4th
January 7th will be a Green Day. All students should first report to their homeroom on Monday morning. 




Kansas School Safety Hotline Flyer




The Kansas School Safety Hotline (1-877-626-8203) is available for students, parents and community members to anonymously report any impending school violence.

Upcoming Boundary Changes Community Input Forums
 
Derby Public Schools is revisiting new boundaries to be implemented for the 2020-2021 school year and is hosting two community forums in January to gain input. CLICK HERE to find out more about how you can participate. 


 

tutoring

Free tutoring available every Monday and Thursday in the DHS Library from 3:15-6:15pm. Students must bring their I.D.
